Pablo Luther joined FLG partners in 2019 and has over 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles at public Fortune 500 companies as well as private tech start-ups spanning an array of industries including software, networking, SaaS, and robotics. Pablo’s extensive professional experience in corporate finance and operations has played a fundamental role in his taking innovative start-ups to successful exits, including IPOs and M&As.
Most recently, Pablo served as CFO at Liquid Robotics, the market leader in autonomous marine vehicles, where he led finance, legal, HR, and certain aspects of the operations for more than four years. He also helped raise two rounds of VC funding and negotiated major contracts with multiple Fortune 500 partners including Boeing and Schlumberger. Pablo helped lead the negotiations and ultimate sale of the company to Boeing for one of the highest multiples in the defense industry.
As the CFO at Gridiron Systems, he positioned the company to be acquired by a leading data storage company. Previously, he spent six years at Stormedia in senior executive roles including VP Finance and CFO, and helped lead its IPO on the NASDAQ. Throughout his career in both CFO and COO-level positions at Silicon Valley start-ups, Pablo has led companies including Kasenna, Netfish Technologies, and eFinance Corporation, all of which resulted in M&A transactions. He was part of the start-up management team at Meru Networks, which later went public. He started his career at Hewlett-Packard, where he spent six years in financial management roles, including Controller of the PC Division.
Pablo is a partner of Inspovation, an early stage angel fund, and is an active advisor to a number of tech start-ups.
With a passion to give back to his community, Pablo has dedicated his effort to furthering the cause of education and believes that a strong education holds the key to a child’s successful development. To this end, he ran for and was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Los Altos School District (LASD), where he served pro bono for four years, most recently as President of the Board. Additionally, he helped in setting up an annual soccer camp for disadvantaged children that has positively influenced over 2,000 kids since its inception.
Pablo graduated Summa Cum Laude with a dual MBA in Marketing and Finance from Wright State University, and is a Beta Gamma Sigma scholar; and a BS from University of Mumbai (India), where he was the Valedictorian.
