The COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing financial crisis has already broken many records for unemployment and financial losses set by the Great Recession of 2008-2009. Financial stimulus programs have launched without guidance to the financial community, all while banks now struggle to comply with CECL reporting and reserve requirements set by FASB in 2016. A chain reaction of business bankruptcies, M&A and consolidations might not be far behind. Is a tightening of credit standards and/or bank failures in our future?
Hear from an experienced panel of experts from the Bay Area banking community who will provide their valuable insights into how the current climate in the banking industry will change bank behavior and practices as a result of COVID-19.
- Will underwriting standards change as a result of higher projected loss ratios?
- How will banks shift their priorities in terms of who they lend to?
- Will interruptions in payments trigger troubled debt restructuring?
- How do emerging companies obtain financing for growth in a world of tighter credit?
- How will the launch of IPOs and M&A transaction financing be impacted?
Join our panel of speakers for a 30-minute discussion of these and other issues followed by a Q&A with attendees via video chat:
