San Diego and Oxford, England – January 20, 2022 – FLG client, ONI, a spinout of Oxford University, has announced the close of a $75M Series B fundraising round led by ARCH Venture Partners and Casdin Capital, LLC, with participation from new investors Section 32, ARTIS Ventures, Vertical Venture Partners, Axon Ventures, and industry private investors. Existing investors also participated, including Oxford Science Enterprises. FLG partner, Anne Samak de la Cerda, assisted as interim CFO.

ONI’s technology platform is capable of visualizing, tracking, and imaging individual molecules in living cells with 20 nm resolution using a desktop microscope called the Nanoimager, allowing for the observation of single molecules in living cells, with wide-ranging implications in biomedical research and in the development of novel therapies and diagnostic tests. “Since our founding, we have placed over 120 Nanoimagers and have empowered over 650 scientists with accessible single molecule technology,” said Bo Jing, founder & CEO of ONI. The company plans to continue to expand its commercialization plans and bring their ground-breaking technology to many more scientists worldwide.
