Chris Cook joined FLG in 2018. Chris has over 30 years of diversified finance and management experience, including Big 4 Public Accounting, executive management, SEC reporting, equity and debt fundraising, M&A, SOX 404 implementation, litigation support, IPOs, budgeting and planning, . Over the course of her career, she has assisted six companies acquire approximately $600 billion in assets through complex acquisitions. Her background includes deep knowledge of financial institutions, insurance, fintech, wealth management, manufacturing, distribution, entertainment, construction and non profits.
Chris has a strong background at highly regulated public companies as both a CFO and COO, as well as mid-to-large sized private companies and non-profit organizations. She has leveraged her dynamic leadership to help companies thrive by driving strategic initiatives for growth, corporate streamlining, financial planning and systems implementation. Chris has been recognized as a team builder and mentor, as well as being a sought-after financial advisor to line management teams at financial institutions ranging from $200 million to $300 billion in assets. Prior to joining FLG, Chris launched her own C-level consulting practice. Previously, she was the Chief Financial and Risk officer at Redwood Credit Union, the CFO at First California Mortgage Company, and the CFO of Bank of Marin (NASDAQ: BMRC).
Chris holds a BA in Accounting from DePaul University and holds an active CPA license in the State of California. Chris is a recipient of the “CFO Recognition Award” from the North Bay Business Journal, the “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business Award” from the San Francisco Business Journal, and the “Women in Business Award” from the North Bay Business Journal.
