Nancy Hargreaves

Nancy Hargreaves joined FLG Partners in 2022.  Nancy is a senior finance executive and CFO with over 20 years experience working with company leadership teams to develop business strategies, manage and build finance teams, and build operational excellence.  She has extensive leveraged finance and acquisition finance experience from her early days as an investment banker and hedge fund portfolio manager in London.  Her focus has been on early-stage commercialization and high-growth manufacturing companies in the Life Sciences and Consumer Products sectors.

Nancy has a collaborative leadership style, working cross functionally with CEOs and Operations, Research and Development, and Sales and Marketing executives to develop financial plans, forecasts and business models and drive financial analysis to support key business and strategic decisions by executive teams, investors and boards.  She believes, that to develop a robust financial strategy, one must first understand the fundamental logistics of the business and the scope of market opportunity. Nancy’s exceptional analytical abilities have allowed her to refine and conceptualize strategic plans which identify the critical success factors for the business, along with operational and financial milestones, and the financing required to meet those objectives.

Prior to joining FLG, Nancy was CFO at Recros Medica, Inc. a clinical stage medical device company, using rotational fractional resection technology for submental skin laxity reduction in the aesthetics sector.  She also worked as CFO of Ionetix Inc. a radiopharmaceutical provider with novel technology enabling the manufacture of small footprint superconducting cyclotrons to produce short-lived radioactive isotopes for use in medical diagnostic imaging and targeted alpha therapy. And, in her financial executive role and as VP, Business Intelligence at Invuity Inc. (NASDAQ: IVTY), a medical technology company, she oversaw the early stage commercialization of the product portfolio, solicitation of venture rounds C through E and various debt financings.  She was a critical member of the team which led the company through its IPO in June 2015 and to the company’s sale to Stryker in October 2018.

Outside of the Life Sciences sector, Nancy has led finance teams in the consumer products sector, notably the beverage company Hint Inc. and a UK, venture-backed salon and spa company which leveraged the Unilever brand, Dove Spa.

Nancy began her career in investment banking in London, working for Robert Fleming & Co., a private merchant bank within the commercial lending department, where she specialized in leveraged and acquisition finance.  She also worked at a London based hedge fund, Cairn Capital, as a portfolio manager for structured credit products.

Nancy holds a B.A. (with Honors) in Chemistry from Oxford University.
