Ron Fior joined FLG in 2020 with over 30 years of hands-on CFO experience, both domestic and international, in all aspects of corporate finance and operations. He has been the Chief Financial Officer of both public and private companies ranging in size from start-up stage to over $750 Million in revenues. Throughout his CFO career he’s led successful raises of over $400 Million in debt and equity, and completed over 50 M&A transactions.
Ron helps companies by leveraging his experience and expertise in corporate and financial strategy, rapid growth and scalability, equity and debt financings, IPOs, investor relations, SEC and financial reporting, mergers & acquisitions, operations, IT systems infrastructure, sales operations, and business model change, such as transitioning from a perpetual license model to a Software as a Service (SaaS) recurring revenue on-demand company.
As CFO at Callidus Software (NASDAQ: CALD), Ron led the company from startup through its successful IPO. Ron also has significant experience in M&A: as CFO of Remedy Corporation (NASDAQ: RMDY) he led the sale of the company for over $1 Billion. As CFO of Good Technology, he led its sale to Blackberry Corporation (NYSE: BB) for $425 Million.
Ron also assists on the Board side, having been a long-time member of the non-profit Silicon Valley YMCA Board of Directors, and has over 15 years’ experience as a public company CFO, with responsibility for presentations and agenda-setting for Board of Directors, Compensation, and Audit Committee meetings. Success in mentoring Finance, IT & human resource personnel has been an important measure of Ron’s success over his career, as many of his direct reports have gone on to successful careers at the “C” levels of both private & public companies.
Before joining FLG, Ron was most recently CFO of Quotient Technology (NASDAQ: QUOT), a CPG digital commerce marketing solution provider, where he managed all finance, corporate development, accounting, taxation, facility, human resources, and information technology matters.
In 2014, Ron was named CFO of the Year (for a venture-backed company) by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
Ron has a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and is a Chartered Accountant in Canada.
