Mike Gennaro
Mike Gennaro joined FLG in 2006. Mike has served as a CPA in New Jersey and California and has extensive corporate financial experience, including over 25 years of serving as the Chief Financial Officer or VP of Finance for a variety of public and private companies. His career has centered on high technology companies in industries including software, computers, computer peripherals, disk drive, semiconductor, healthcare and services.
In these roles he has managed all areas of finance and administration including strategic planning, debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, complex contract negotiations among other legal matters, domestic and international operations, revenue recognition, cash management and human resources. His capacity at these companies has ranged from taking start-ups through the IPO process to senior roles in large multi-national companies.
Mike’s FLG engagements have included interim CFO roles with five start-ups and four public companies in a variety of industries, including approximately one-year engagements at Smart Modular Technologies Inc. and Blue Coat Systems, Inc.
Prior to joining FLG, Mike nurtured four technology start-ups, filed two S-1 initial public offerings and completed two significant sales of companies. He most recently served as CFO and VP of Finance for Sylantro Systems Inc., a telecommunications software provider. Previously, he held the same role for Inverse Network Technology Inc., Piiceon Inc. and Verticom Inc. and served as VP of Finance for Novell Inc.
Mike started his career in the New Jersey office of the international CPA firm of Arthur Young & Co. Mike holds an MS in Mathematics from Rutgers University and a MBA from Rutgers Graduate School of Business.
